Frida Kalho Cards
By collaging and juxtaposing, various elements were used to capture Frida's essence. The set of cards was also heavily inspired by Mexican paper flowers and papel picados (Mexican paper flags). Each card represented a different object that represented Frida’s spirit. For example, I chose her birth place to be the Henry Ford Hospital because she had a miscarriage there and she channeled that pain heavily throughout her work.
